Please join us for a new speaker series, "Shattering the Ceiling." This interview series will examine Jewish Michigan women who have been pioneers in their fields. Our series opener features Molly Reeser, founder and executive director of Camp Casey, which brings happiness on horseback to children with cancer, rare blood disorders, and other life-threatening illnesses.
While studying journalism at MSU, Reeser worked part-time teaching horseback-riding lessons. Through this, she met a young girl with cancer named Casey. Casey had a huge impact on Reeser's life. After Casey's death, Molly wanted to do something to honor her, and Camp Casey was born. What was supposed to be a one-day event at Sparrow Hospital has grown into a hugely impactful program that has been featured in television and publications locally and nationally.
This inspirational evening will allow us to learn more about Reeser and Camp Casey's journey to its present iteration.
Special thanks to Ann Conrad for her generous support of this series!
